Prerequisites for all courses:
You must have a computer with internet access and Microsoft Office 2007. |
| 1. What do I do first? |
a. Start at your course’s website. You can access your course’s website from my website at: http://bis.spc.accd.edu/plee/
|
b. Once you get to the above site, please look for your course in the box labeled Classes for Summer 2008. Click on the link for your class. This will take you to your course’s website.
|
c. Familiarize yourself with your course’s website .
At your course's website you will have access to your course syllabus and other information relevant to your course. The website contains links to information about your course and a link to your course’s online orientation.

d. Blackboard Vista
For this course, you will be using Blackboard Vista.
Even though your course has a website, you will be turning in all of
your assignments, sending all emails, and taking tests in
Blackboard Vista.
Your course website will be used as a backup in case Blackboard Vista goes down.

2. Online students need to complete the online orientation for your course. |
Take your time and read through your course’s online orientation.
The online orientation contains important information and instructions that must be followed for accessing your course in Blackboard Vista .

| 3. Login to PALs |
Prior to logging into Blackboard Vista you should login in to the PALs system
You can login to PALs at: http://spcportal.accd.edu/cp/home/loginf
Note: If you are a first time user of PALS, please follow the directions on PALS home page (under Need Help Logging in? ) to obtain your user name and password.

| 4. Login to Black board Vista |
To gain access to your course in Blackboard Vista click on the link below: http://vista.accd.edu/webct/entryPageIns.dowebct
You will use your PALs user name and password to log into your Blackboard Vista course.

You will have to log in to Blackboard Vista with your PALs user name and password. Every St. Philip’s student has access to the PALS system. If you are not sure how to access this system contact the helpdesk at 220-1616.
