1. Your first assignment will be done completely online.  You will not need your textbooks to complete this assignment.

2. You will be completing a e-learning course at the Microsoft itacademy website.  The course consists of a pre assessment, a series of modules that must be completed and a post assessment. 

3. I will be able to monitor your progress, so please make sure you complete the entire course.

4. Below you will find instructions on how to get started with the Microsoft itacademy.

1. If you don’t already have a msn hotmail email account, then you need to establish one. There is no charge for creating this account .  This can be done at:  www.hotmail.com
   (if you already have a hotmail account, go straight to item #6 below)

2. Click on the “sign up” button on the msn hotmail site.  At the next window, click on the “get it free” button. 

3. The next window you come to will be where you sign up for your msn hotmail account.  It can also be used as a “windows live ID account”.   

4. The first box is labeled “Create a windows Live ID”, again, this is the same as a msn hotmail account.  Once you select a username make sure you check it’s availability. (click availability button)

5. Fill out the rest of the boxes on the page. 

6. Once you have completed filling out the boxes and have successfully registered for a msn hotmail email address, you are ready to go to the Microsoft itacademy website.  http://itacademy.microsoftelearning.com

Once you have successfully signed into the course, use the menu on the left hand side of the screen to view the "Demo E-learning" This is a video that will assist you in navigating through the course. You will need speakers say you can hear the content that's being explained. After viewing the video you should be able to navigate through the course.
